Hi,
I have and LG DV9723P dvd player. It plays most of my files just fine except for sometimes, with certain files, I'll get a continuous audio play but the picture will freeze and then jump ahead and freeze again. I don't know what I'm doing wrong as these avi files are in the required height x width ratio etc. I'm using Roxio Creator basic to write the files to CD. Could it be that these are 3 warp-point GMC. If so how can I tell when an avi file is recorded in thios format, and od I need a different dvd player. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

3 warp point will trip up most players (all?) anyway, perhaps have a look for another encoding software, there are a number of them, have a look at www.videohelp.com, you can do a search on there and you will find tonnes.
I use FairUseWizard myself....

Track down a program called Mpeg4Modifier which will tell you all the key encoding attributes of the files.

If you download the K-lite codec pack, it has a utility called Gspot, which you can open the avi files with and it will give you all the info on how the file is encoded. If it's an xvid with GMC then it will be 3 warp point, but if it's divx with GMC, it's generally only 2 warp point.
