I was wondering if anyone can help me with deleting files (games etc) from my Xbox's harddrive and regaining the memory? I can figure out how to delete files but the used memory isn't restored.

Is your XBox modded?

Is it the actual games you want to delete or the saved games?

My Xbox has been modified - chipped and new hard drive.
I actually want to delete games/movies/music etc that are saved on the hard drive. However I guess along with that, I'll also be deleting the game saves too.

The mods (etc) are probably the cause but other then that I don't really know.

If it's modded, wouldn't it be loaded with a Slayers dash or something? You should be able to access everything via that.
If you can connect it to your pc, there are programs which let you add, edit and delete stuff in all your folders on the xbox. I think flash fxp was one that helped you do that kind of thing.

If you have XBMC you can use the file manager in that to browse and delete files. If you don't have XBMC, you should! :)

In addition to that, most applications that backup games to your HDD (eg DVD2XBox) should also have a game management module for removing games from your HDD.

You can delete saved games from the MS Dash.
