As far as I know, transgendered female to male and hermaphrodites can only get ovarian cancer.

Apart from females. :rolling:

yeah. there are cases where people have both male and female genitals.

one is inside and one is outside. it is usually the parents choice whether they want a boy or a girl.

and later on in life the child may be very confused with there feelings and hate their parents for the choice they made. :|

These people are known as Hermaphrodite (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermaphrodite) or Intersex (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intersex) people. IMO they should not be medically interfered with until if and when they're ready to make the decision for themselves. As with any child, a parent of an intersex child should just go with their child's cues re preferences for toys, playmates and clothes, etc. In the early years it's pretty easy to buy clothing and toys that are both practical and gender neutral. I really see little necessity, other than social stigma, for imposing a sexuality on a child of indeterminate sexuality. The social stigma aspect is obviously a huge, and culturally understandable, consideration for parents who make the decision on behalf of their child, but I don't think it's a morally acceptable one.

I understand your point of view exactly. I see that with social pressure - people would feel, to be accepted, and for their child to be accepted socially - they would have to chose a sex for that child.

For me, I would pretend that it would be acceptable - to make it easier for the child (and obviously parent) to determine a sex, even considering it 'temporary' until the child is old enough to decide themselves....But I just can't imagine not going through with making a decision.

The answer? Education. Educating children about Hermaphrodite (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermaphrodite) or Intersex (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intersex) people so that children grow up having a general undertanding that not everything is black and white and not all is as it appears to be.
