remote for LG DVD recorder stopped working on LG plasma TV

I have a 42pc1dg-aa LG Plasma Television and I also have an rh1777 LG DVD recorder. As they are both LG, when I set them up, the remote for the DVD recorder also worked on the TV, which i found extremely convenient.

Now all of a sudden, the DVD remote doesnt work on the TV anymore. I have not done anything that I remember that could have stuffed it up, but then other people do use my stuff who could have accidently done something to stop it working.

Does anyone know how I can get them to work again?

There is nothing wrong with the remotes themselves as they both work on their respective units.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
