tech promos-here in OZ?

Just read an article that in the US there is a big road show promotion for plasma TVs..About 14 or so campervan type semi-trailers roaming around with a must see display...Do we have things like that in OZ? Wanting to go to a convention or something, as I still have not bought a TV yet...

That sounds awesome, but I'm not aware of anything like that.
The best I can think of is the annual Home Show at the Exhibition Building here in Melbourne where some of the big boys come out and show off their gear.

Thanks watcher, would you know when the next one is? Might have to take another trip out to that sensational city...I cant exactly remember the site address of the above info but please try and check for yourself..

Learnt that this GPR (Global Plasma Roadshow) should be hitting Australia in 2008 in Sydney and Melbourne again. Yes again, the big campervans where there this year from what I was told, same cities, but got no info on the month...So until next year...

Heard about CETAC ???
And something like it in the US (seperate from he GPR)???

I have checked the web and it seems that the big,boys and toys event will be in new Zealand next. Is this separate from the Oz event, or is it changed back and forth between countries?

Hey all,
Out of curiosity, did anyone head down to the Melbourne Expo, Digital Entertainment Festival (DEF) that included the Digital Lifestyle Show (DLS).
Did not get to make it but wanted to check it out. What was it like, is it a yearly thing then?
