today, just when I needed to use it.

"Application Error
\bambina\code\navigator\gui\apps\guiex.c
LINE: 923 TEST: timerMax < MAX_TIMERS
Error setting timer. No more timers available."

The direction of the slashes in that bother me,
I would have been happier with / type ones :-)

Amusingly, none of the buttons on it work,
including the power off one. I had to use the
slide switch on the side to power cycle it.

In a way, I'm kinda curious to the processor and
software/OS it uses.

Unrelated, the A/C in then 'lux is fading away
so I'll have to regas that :-( Not been doing
much driving lately, so hardly surprising. I think
my friends one I'll have to do too.

I hate it when stuff, stuffs up.

Out of interest, how much does it cost to re-gas the average Toyota A/
C? And if it is a dual system (the Tarago has front and rear systems
and separate controls), does it need to be done twice?

Using R290 (propane) around 5 cents, done yourself. Given
you have the BBQ bottle, hose and coupling (I've got one
made by a friend who turned it on his lathe).

I'm not sure of that particular vehicle, however would expect
a single compressor, so would be gassing the entire system in
one go.

The thing I would be concerned about is volume of propane used.
I have a friend with a Landrover with a "Cool A Cab" unit on the
roof. The quantity of propane used I consider a fire risk. For
your average car A/C system it's not really dangerous. I kinda
liken it to leaving your gas heater on, but not lit - if it leaks.
Mythbusters did a test to show it's not really a problem.

Yes I have had mine dump it's contents into the cabin of my 'lux
due to a low pressure switch seal failure - in a servo no less.
Nothing exploded, however possibly glad I'm a non smoker :-)

Back to the original question, JohnH should be able to answer
better than me, as I fix my own stuff.

Doubt it.
