Strange DVD problem

Have been watching a few movies lately and my dvd player (lowe) restarts itself.

for example. was watching the naked gun 2.5 and it got to about the 40 mins mark and then bam! the dvd goes right back to the start (where you select the lang)

when i skipped to the same part again, it played fine.. it happened again a few times.

any ideas what might be causing the prob... ??
and just to add.... so far its only been the naked gun movies that have been playing up!!! prehaps there is an issue with the production run of those discs ?

Maybe your players just devoloped good taste? ;) :p

Have you got another player you can try them on? Is there any kind of discolourisation on the discs?

nup, the discs looks perfectly ok...

and nup again,, dont have another player to try them on. doH!!!!!!
