Queensland Premier Anna Bligh must want her global warming advice hot
and alarming, without a skerrick of doubt or nuance:
World renowned scientist and environmentalist Dr Tim Flannery will be
a member of the Bligh Government's new Council on Climate Change.
Ms Bligh said the 16 person advisory panel would ensure Queensland's
efforts in addressing climate change were informed by the best available
knowledge and experience.
Ms Bligh said Dr Flannery will be joined on the Council by other
notables such as the President of the Australian Conservation Foundation
Professor Ian Lowe and the CEO of the Clean Energy Council, Dominique La
Fontaine.
Check the full list of council members and you'll see a roll-call
largely of alarmists, salvation seekers and carpet baggers. A bit like
getting advice on cancer cures from a convention of snake-oil salesmen.
