I have just bought a LiteOn LDW-401S and have patched it with the latest firmware (ES0G) from their website. It does not recognise Shintaro 4X DVD-Rs. Whether I use any DVD burning software or their Smart-burn media check program it always gives a "No media" message. Other DVD-R and DVD-RW disks work fine.
Anybody else got any hints, please? Can't find an address anywhere on the LiteOn site to ask them. If somebody has a working address for their tech area, that would be useful too.
