Sydney-Melbourne-Brisbane Car Express
1300 362 085
(offices in above three capitals)
.......used them several times (but not since 2005) and were
consistently cheapest. No issues at all with service and never had any
damage.

I am not talking about an extra 20 kilometres
It is about 100 kilometres further.
but, Geelong to Tweed heads would be using the Hume to Sydney then the
Pacific Hwy to Tweed
Heaps of traffic
Going from Melbourne to Brisbane you would use the Newell which is a better
travelling road

Prob a matter of trade volumes as well as road choices, plus they've got
you by the short and curlies! If you drive Geelong to Melbourne to save
the money, you're then up for petrol plus whatever it costs to get back,
so you're still out of pocket, even if a bit less. Stuff it - why not take
a week off an just drive up then fly back! Cheers.
