Who would you have as the hosts?

Sam Newman, Daryl Somers and Rove McManus.
That's established the baseline; let's work up from there!

How about Kev Bartlett (if he can be kept off the bottle), Neil
Crompton and Harold Scrubby (for light relief, providing he gets to
drive all the 4WDs)

I think we can do much better from within our own ranks.
Noddy as the cranky opinionated old man (Clarkson)
OzOne as the naff twit that everyone picks on but really has no clue (May)
and me as the one who is often out of his depth, but willing to learn and
have a go, also the best looking of the three ( Hammond)

According to the application info (
http://topgearaustralia.freeforums.org/viewtopic.php?t=4 ) people only have
until this friday to get their applications in.

It makes more sense to go straight to the sbs site:

http://www21.sbs.com.au/topgear/

Yeah, I read that after I posted my question.

I vaguely considered applying but I don't think that I could be
bothered and I doubt that they'd want me anyway. :-)

It'd be novel having somebody on the air with two clues to rub
together.

Hey, I'd do it, but the show would have to be on late at night to get past

No shit there.
Id interact well with the audience. Although if any of them want me to
give them a demo on the laws of physics I would throw them through a
window. :-)

I'm thinking you'd have a very specific contract that forbade such lines
as 'gay as cucumber sandwiches' and the like - to the extent that it
becomes boring and stuffy.
