I know it's already been discussed, but for those interested, this has more
pictures and better pictures.

Might get one of these in the (turbo?) diesel wagon.

yep, a Honda with usable torque :-)
Have to see one in the flesh first, the Pictures don't do it any favours in
my opinion, Luckily a mate is the local Honda Dealer :-),
he is also the local Audi dealer but the bastard wont lend me an R8 for a
week-end :-(

I'd be happy just to take an R8 for a test drive even if I had to take
your mate in the passenger seat just to make sure I didn't thrash it:-)
Has he got one in stock, they sound amazing at WOT.

The sedan looks a bit like an Aurion from the side.

He had one in stock a month ago, unfortunately the guy who ordered it wasn't
going to let him use it as a demo even if it was only for a couple of days.
Its a nice red one and every time I see it drive around town, I become more
and more enamored of them. Its on the top of my list for when I win
Powerball :-)

Too bad the sedan still has that tacky chrome around the windows. That's
one of the things I dislike about the current sedan, along with the chrome
door handles. The original '03 Euro had that huge grille and sharp front
end that stood apart from everything else on the road at the time. This
model doesn't stand out the same way.

I was driving near/beside one of those TRD Aurions yesterday. Damned
if it didn't look bloody good! The interior too looks lifted straight
from one of the better Lexuseses......Lexii.......?

Not all of them have the chrome though. There was a sporty model (just
guessing here but I'll bet it was imaginatively called the capital S
Sport!!!) that was chromeless, but the problem was if you wanted the
sporty look with all the fruit; that stuff was reserved for the
chromey top-spec grandpa version.
A quick note, while I was working F & I at a BMW dealer the Euro was
just about the most commonly traded car against cars like the 3-series
(a mate said the same against the C-class); usually 6-12 months old,
and being traded by over 55's who found the stiff ride and piss-poor
seats gave them serious back trouble. Several of the salesmen ended up
making them under-the-table cash offers and scored good, cheap cars.
BTW I agree the seats were ordinary but the ride, for me, was fine.

They're actually not a bad looking car in the flesh. A bit quirky around the
grille, but overall not too bad considering some of the *fuck* ugly stuff
coming out these days.
What I *don't* get is the similarity between them and the Camry, as it
really is hard to tell them apart.

I had a close up look at one in Adelaide last October and latter on when
we saw the car again on the road the driver recognized us (we were both
in the same event) so he gave a boot full as he went past:-)
The mate I was with thinks it has a lot of similarities to a Veyron and
possibly its intended as a poor mans Veyron, he had a close up look at a
Veyron in Germany early last year at a Foundry Expo, the owners business
did the casting for the Veyrons inlet manifold so he was able to buy one
"cheap":-)

Yes, I know of a few people who decided against the Euro purely because of
the seating and the ride. I found the seating awkward but the ride was
perfect.....I like a firm ride.

It was a limited edition, not part of the regular range. 99% out there have
the chrome. I've noticed the new Mazda6 has now added the chrome around the
windows too, but it's much more toned down and not on the door handles. Are
we returning to the 80s or something? lol.
