I was not gonna get dragged into the usual shit fight that comes after a
Misubishi post but hey, I tort I'd shared with you some of my
experiences :)

A 2007 Lancer ES, eh? I wonder if they have fixed the ECU problem with flat
spotting(?) at around 2200-2400 rpm and the absymal 1st gear which is
waaayyy too tall. The flat spotting(?) occurs as the engine winds down
from, say, 3200rpm, as the car decelerates after a longish stretch (5+mins)
of running at 3000+rpm.

My 2004 Lancer ES is a dog - I got outdragged by a full laden bus once at
the lights - no lie! OK OK OK, so I was not driving it as hard as I would
have liked, but I tort I was driving pretty normal - approx 2000rpm(?) in
1st gear and about the same in 2nd. The bus just pulled away from me. I
think they heard me all the way in Japan :) It was one of those Merc buses
from memory. Bloody Krauts :)

I can't fault its handling though. I can hit corners pretty hard if I want
to - this is with stock suspension. :) It sits quite well on the road with
less body roll than the VN (which was professionally lowered, etc). Maybe
the weight difference helps, I dunno - not that smart yet to figure that
one out. More likely, there needs to be more to go into the VN but I need
to learn more about suspension, geometry, etc. Some ppl might say that
learning how to drive properly could also be handy :)

Fuel economy is OK.

Had a few retaining screws fall out from around the dashboard but it's no
big deal.

What else? Oh yes, The stickers from Apexi and HKS should arrive any day
now :)
