Hey all. I posted recently about installing Win2K on my M571 with Win98SE already installed. Well, I finally did it and it works great !
To recap, I have a M571 ver7a mobo with the latest flash, a PC133 128 mb ram, off board sound and vga card, old network card, old internal 56k modem, usb mouse, 2 Seagate 5200rpm 20gig hdd and AMD k6s 500 chip.
I used Partition Magic 6 to prepare a different FAT32 partition for Win2k and installed Booot Magic 6 for dual booting.
I can't believe everything went on so smoothly. I think it's even faster than installing Win98SE !
I didn't notice any performance related issues. I thought my pc will be slow but no difference compared to Win98SE.
Yipee, that was fun !
