HD TV question

If a program is being shown on, say, HD 10 or HD 7, is it a given that it is
full HD or could it be SD?

It could either be a Full HD or Upscaled SD program. Most of the time its
upscaled SD.

AbcHD and 9HD show a HD logo when it's full HD show. 7 and ten let you
guess.

Visual inspection can help. High Definition is crisp and sharp.
Any fool can pick a true HD signal from a vastly inferior SD signal
or an upscaled SD signal.

If you can't tell the difference I suggest a trip to the optometrist
might help. Explain the problem and ask if your eyes need testing or
if the TV stations and the government of Australia are pulling a
marketing stunt.

On your digital TV remote,press the "Info" button.

Their you should have a screen pop up with the relevent info (Just below the station I.D.and date and time) I.E.720p,576i or 1080i.
