I asked the Toyota part bloke and he wasn't sure if he had any but he's
going to have a look and get back to me.
He's got "lots" of SR5 alloy wheels which he's selling for $110.00 ea
but I doubt they will be any good to you, he also recently sold a set of
Landcruiser split rims with tyres for $800, AFAIK Landcruiser split rims
are the same as Hilux but with bigger tyres so he may have some of those.

I'm not surprised he has plenty of SR5 wheels, as on the current model
they look all of 13 inches! Probably look much bigger on the older
models though. ;-)

They probably look smaller than they are because of the high profile tyres.
They are 7"X15" rims on the 4WD's.

Cool thanks.

I've always stuck with the steel ones because I thought they were
stronger, but that could be an old wives tale for all I know. On the
flip side, a weight reduction would always be welcome as well as not
needing tubes :-)

Depends what kind of Landcruiser though. If they're 16 inch rims with
6 studs, then I'd be very interested.
Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.

100 series, I've seen at the dealer new, for next to nothing as the
owner
fitted aftermarket. Not going to help on a 'lux though.
Earlier L/C rims I use on my 'lux. They date back to 1983 in some
cases
from 60 series. Mine are from an %J-60/62. Six bolts.

Dunno about 'stronger', more like more durable perhaps... steel wheels
are more forgiving, i.e will bend whereas alloys will crack/break -
after a certain point anyway. But just how often do you abuse your
wheels to that point of damage anyway? Usually quite rare in the real
world (unless you're going nuts)... and in the end you'd have to replace
either type of wheel if damaged. Well, you ought to anyway.

Yep, a distinct advantage.

I was contemplating on getting some really nice looking alloy rims, for
my Rodeo or some original alloy wheels that is fitted to the higher spec
rodeos. But then again I thought no point buying flashy rims when they
are going to be buggered up by going off road. So I got me some Sunraysia
rims instead. Although not only they look better they dissipate the heat
from the brakes better too than the original rims.

100 series Cruisers have 5 stud wheels with the possible exception of
base models which may have 6 stud splits.

The OE split rims that were on the 1979 BJ40 Cruiser I owned were
identical to the Lux OE rims as far as I can see.
