.... on Foxtel, that is. Sadly, Channel 9 gave up on Malcolm after airing
part of season 6 over the summer of 2005-2006, finally finishing up about 9
episodes in, in Feb 2006. *Thankfully*, The Comedy Channel has resumed
where 9 left off, showing the remaining season 6, and are now airing the
final season 7 every Saturday (the show finished in the US back in 2006 - so
we're nearly 2 years behind!). Sadly, for you folks without Foxtel, there
is no chance of you ever seeing the rest of this fantastic show, especially
as it is not being released on DVD (aside from a season 1 R1 6 years ago).
I mean it when I say that too - it's arguably one of the best sitcoms ever
(My Name is Earl - another rare sitcom without a laugh track, has *nothing*
on this show). The writing is still very sharp, although admittedly it's
not as good as the first few seasons (especially since the new baby came
along). I doubt anyone would argue with me that Dewey is one of the
best/funniest TV characters ever created.

Actually Channel 9 resumed screening Malcolm in the Middle at noon on
Saturdays a week ago. It lasted one episode before they replaced it with
the failed My Kid's a Star.

Everwood lasted 3 episodes on Sunday this time before it was replaced with
repeats of their failed rescue show. The Gilmore Girls was suppose to
remain on but got bumped for a tribute to Jack Gibson in Sydney, though I
believe the episode screened on HD TV. The Gilmore Girls was rating 500k
for them in the afternoons before they started screwing around with it.
Down to about 200ks now.

Channel 9 also repeated Afterlife season one after The Wire, no sign of
Season 2 though. I guess they were just trying get more people to watch
season 2 on UK where it started this week.

Cable is hardly better taking years to get around to show series of shows.

It really like they want people to download TV.
