how to get in a vy with a flat battery

anyone have any suggestions on how to get in to a vy ute with a flat battery

Remove the back window if you can't manipulate the door to get to handle with rods. - Or phone road service.

Managed to reach up under the bonnet and get enough of a charge in to the battery to unlock the car with the keys.

You couldn't use the key to manually turn the lock in the door?
