c'mon mate, I wouldn't call this spam - but I will put COM in the subject in future. I also wont be posting these messages once a week, it's not my style and this forum doesn't need it.

btw, the only time I post to this forum is when I have a genuine "Deal, Bargain, Special or Promotion" - as the forum topic says.

I could change the way I promote my dvd's to this forum and just say that I'm selling them personally, all the titles are mine, the site is mine, all the programming is mine, so what's the difference? - but hey, I may as well be honest.

I think what stew was trying to get across is that this kind of post doesn't really fall under the "Deals, Bargains ..." category. This is what is meant to be in here:

Let everyone know here if you find a good DVD deal, bargain, special or promotion.

Now, with that in mind, you can't exactly say that you 'found' a good DVD deal, bargain, special or promotion if it is being sold on your very own site.

Normally, I would suggest the Where To Buy? section, but just reading it's charter...

All I can recommend is, like stew, that you throw it in DVD Swapmeet with COMM: at the beginning, and see how it goes from there.

I also looked at the 'dvd bargain' in question. Looks quite good - if you get my drift... but I can't help but wonder why people would pay $50 for porn on a DVD when it's everywhere on the internet...... :eek:

ok mate, I'll put my posts in the swapmeet category from now on with COMM in front of the subject.

yep, porn is everywhere on the net - and 'some' pay for that also, even if it is only in a 300 pixel window. At least with a dvd you can watch your porn full screen in the best possible quality, with the best possible sound, at home on your tv or pc as many times as you like, whenever you like. Works better for your partner too, somehow sitting in front of the PC watching porn in a little window doesn't do as much as porn on the tv. ;-)

I'll start getting worried when MPEG2 Video On Demand (with X rated porn included) becomes mainstream.

btw, I do think the price I'm selling Gladiator for is pretty good, considering that no other major Aust. dvd site has even bothered to put it live yet, and when they eventually do it would be advertised for a minimum of $54.95 plus delivery

I can't really say as I haven't ever bought an X-Rated DVD before.

I tried to get out of this game too, about 3 years ago - then I bought an adult shop, so now I think I'm stuck in it forever. I much prefer working in the background, programming etc. than selling stuff, but need to make a living any way I can.

I work full time as a production manager / programmer for a web travel wholesaler. This one pays well ;-))

The shop that I own (in partnership with my sister) is still growing, so it doesn't really pay me anything - but it's getting there. The AcidDVD.biz site is really an offshoot of the shop, although under a different name, so therefore I'm not really getting paid for that neither ;-| , but sales are great, the traffic is increasing daily and I'm quickly running out of time to do anything - which is supposed to be a good thing, but sleep does come in handy.
