Does anyone know what the difference between the R1 4 disc set and the R4 3 disc set is? I believe the movie is compacted on to 1 disc in the R4 transfer. Is that the only difference?
There's a very cool hidden feature on the second disc of the R1 that is a collection of shots of off camera antics from the cast and crew. The highlight is Affleck and Hartnett re-enacting the Affleck and Tyler 'animal crackers' scene from Armageddon.
I had the R1 4 Disc set bought for me as a gift and I have a huge problem with it on disc 1 when Kate Beckinsdale comes to visit Josh Hartnett in the hangar before they go flying at sunset. There's huge pixelation and the speakers let out a horrible, horrible noise. This happens on my Pioneer 525, a JVC of some sort, but not on a crappy cheap Hiteker or Teac...
That hidden feature I mentioned also stuffs up on the same players... When I first put it in my Hiteker it didn't stuff up but the player made this horrible noise like the disc was suddenly ground to a halt. I pulled the disc out and found a huge chunk missing from the bottom of the disc.
This made me very unhappy.
Has anyone else had problems like this? Is there any way to fix a big chunk missing?
Also, just got Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back R1 and disc is cracked almost all the way up the middle. Anything I can do about that?
Returning them is not an option on either account unfortunately...
Thanks,
John.
