Beware Region 1 Buyers

I have been told that many current and future REGION 1 dvd titles will be carrying the 'regional coding enhancement (rce)'. Stumbled onto this website (http://www.judgedvd.homestead.com) (which the last time I checked is still under construction). Emailed them and they gave me some very useful information.

Ummm, dude, RCE has been around for ages.

Amazon.com has carried warnings about RCE encoded discs for a long time now.

RCE will affect a lot of auto-region switching players, or players that are Region 0. If you can manually switch your player to R1, then you have no probs. And personally, I have never had a problem with a disc not wanting to play.

Try searching google.com or something for information. That website is a waste of time, there's nothing on it.
