I am considering whether to buy a DSLR or not...

I am currently using EOS 30, with 28-135mm, 100mm macro, and a 50mm lens, and is very happy with them all.

Would like to get a DSLR, one concern for me is the multiplier effect. What would my 28-135 lense turn into with 10D? Is it a major concern for you guys?

Also, is it a good time to get a DSLR? Do you think Canon will release a DSLR with NO multiplier effect in the near future?

Thanks heaps.

Simply mutiply the FL by 1.6

It's actually good if you like to shoot with long FLs. :-) It's bad if
you like to shoot wide. :-( Personally, I have no problem with it wide,
as the 17mm that I have seems to be heaps wide enough for me.

There will never be a good time, as future cameras will be better and
cheaper, but if you don't buy one at some stage you will never take pix. At
some point you simply need to bite the bullet.

They already have, about a year ago. EOS 1Ds... about $12500 if you shop
around :-)

There are a few things that are sure in this world ..

Death

Taxes

and Canon will release a better camera shortly after you buy one.

There is no "best time" to buy a camera, but having a digital in your camera
bag is well worth it.
