Wanting to buy one for the kids room.
can it play all types of dvd media without freezing or skipping.
I'd get another viewmaster if I could find anyone selling them.

Where is the warranty on digitrex in Australia ?

I have a GK1020 and am very happy with the performance / price ratio ie. its
really VERY good for the price, less than $100 if you can get one stock
seems patchy

Warranty is 12 months. I am not sure about other models but the 1020 is
replacement.

Telefix (www.telefixsales.com.au). Service and support through Telefix is
very good in my experience. Digitrex customer support were also helpful.

Short Story :

My unit failed about 8 months into the warranty period - green lines all
over the picture.
I contacted their helpline ( numbers on the web page ) and their consultant
gave me some repair agents in my area ( southern Melbourne outer metro ). I
called them up and they were very vague about the warranty replacement, they
just wanted me to bring the unit in and they would have a look. Actually I
suspect they had no idea what the process was.

Unhappy with this I called Hills TeleFix who are also a service agent and
have several service centres in Vic and I think NSW ( check there site ),
they were GREAT. As soon as I said digitrex the girl asked which model I had
and straight away told me it would be a replacement, it would take a week as
the units came form Sydney and I could drop of the unit any time.

I dropped in the unit as I was going pass on other business, less than a
week later they phoned to say I could pickup the replacement. Unfortunately
I had the flu at the time and was delayed in getting in to pick, they sent a
reminder in the snail mail that I hadn't been in to pickup the unit.

I picked up the unit it was new in retail packaging I have had no further
problems. Telly fix were great.

If you take a unit in for repair DON'T FORGET the REMOTE they cannot give
you the new one with out the old one. It also helps to type up a description
of the fault you name, address and 2 contact phone numbers, the guy creating
the fault docked will thank you, the process is almost painless and you get
in and out quicker.
