$598 for the Digitrex @ Big W
$899 for the Panasonic E50 at Target.
Which one would you buy?
Why?

Hello there
l have checked out the Panasonic Recorder (E50 model), It only plays
DVD-RAM/-R only, ok?
I bought the Digitrex GKX 9000 recently and very happy with it.
It records in +R/+RW, but plays + and -R/-RW formats. It can erase your disks also. I am very happy with the recording quality from TV and recording quality from my Video to DVD+RW. I copied my Wedding video, and its great quality.
The l copied from the +RW disk to -R and l cannot see any quality difference at all. Believe me the Panasonic may sound good, but you are very restricted on what you can do with it. I dont recommend the Panasonic E 50 model.. The more expensive models like the Sony and Phillips for $1500+ is a waste of money.
I have been doing DVDR for 12 months now, and it was worth the wait not to buy the Panasonic, and lm glad l didnt buy it.
This $598 Recorder is well worth it.
Its actually an American player called a Apex DKX 9000 player.
If any queries email me at shrekka@optusnet.com.au
