Anybody else having troubles with the "newpost" and "lastpost" direct links? I think it started yesterday for me, any link like that simply giving a "The page cannot be displayed" error. Should I be looking in my settings, or has someone else noticed this?

Not sure what links you are referring to. What were the URLs you click on that did not work?

Any link from the forum directly to the "Last Page" of any particular thread, such as:

http://forums.eyo.com.au/showthread.php?t=3764&goto=lastpost

And any of the "show posts since last visit" arrows such as:

http://forums.eyo.com.au/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=31346

They both worked for me. The actually URL after clicking should be redirected to something like:

http://forums.eyo.com.au/showthread.php?p=275684#post275684

(after I click on the second link).

Did you get the redirected URL?

The redirection was never kicking in - I haven't a clue why not.

Whatever the case I reset my machine and all was happy again. Funny that killing IE didn't work, but resetting Windows did - and for a problem that appeared to be clearly server-related. I'll never understand Microsoft...

I guess I should have reset before posting the initial question. After all, that is the first step in any Windows-related tech support (even if it is only to buy me time to think of the actual problem while the client reboots :D )

At least we know what to tell anyone complaining of this in the future now...
