View Full Version : How freaking annoying!
This new Foxtel/Austar update tonight, with the repeating message and unable
to get any other channels telling us how to reactivate or whatever, tried
calling the 1800 number to give them my 11 dig card number, and its
constantly engaged!
Change your settings to 12558/27800 and you will find your channels will
reappear.

Thanks for the numbers buddy, I was beside myself as to how to fix the darn annoying "IMPORTANT INFO" screen that has been there for hours.
Now have all channels back.

heh, well, i finally got through to activate my red card... all went well enough, except that the card has the "NSW" channel lineup instead of "VIC"... same lineup, just now the TV guide loses it's VIC identity :P
I want my "VIC" back :P

Press Menu
Advanced options
Change dish installation
9949
Signal setup
1 (home)
This should read as follows:
Signal source = enabled
LNB selection = 1
Freq = 12478 (if this doesn't work try 12558)
Symb rate 27800
Pol = Horizontal
FEC = 3/4
If not change using the arrow buttons or number keypad on foxtel remote. Press OK once the settings have been added. Then press exit once. Then select Tune & Re-scan and press OK. If an E16 appears after the Tune & Re-scan, initialize the Smart Card.

I've done all this and I'm still getting E16 errors. I guess I have to ring

Do the goldies still work after this update?
Had to ring Foxtel took 24hrs to get through and basically changed the freq
and symbol rate to the same settings as posted in this thread. The Tech also
forced a firmware upgrade.
Now after all that Im hestitant about trying the goldie?
Any advice?
