Satellite upgrades?

I'm a foxtel satellite subscriber and just received my new smart card in the
mail. Is this in preperation for the digital service ?
Also, is the old card useless once I do the upgrade or do they just say that
so that we dont use it ?

Your old card will be useless feb/mar next year anyway, so you can use your
existing one untill it's
switched off then ,or install the new one now...

it`s for the new encryption.
old one will not work `cos of change in encryption...

Your satellite servace is already digitial, in fact its never been anything
else.
As for your new card, It,s getting near Christmas, and we all get cards at
Christmas , if we are lucky,, Don,t we.

Watching Roswell last night, was that the finale for the season or end
of the show altogether?

Also saw the flash notice from Foxtel saying they are busy don't call
them unless it is urgent because of the new card related to piracy something...
Was wondering if all those phone calls are from ppl with pirate cards
that won't work anymore suddenly?
