I am looking at purchasing 5 in wall speakers and I am also looking at purchasing a Receiver. I am based in Melbourne.

I want in wall for the visual benefit (less obvious).

After going to Encel (I am on a budget) we have looked at:

Rotel RSX 1055 or a
Yamaha RxV 1400

Polk RC 85 * 3 (L,R,C)
Polk RC 65 *2 (Rears)

I will hook up my REL Q100E subwoofer (brought this over from the UK)

My budget for this lot is about $3,500. I have seen the Klipsch and B&W in wall speakers but I think they push my budget out too far.

I will be testing this equipment with my DVD's and CD's but wonder if my money can be better spent. Before anyone asks I want in wall speakers because the cabinets I am building will have solid doors. I thought about putting gauze over the a hollow in the doors but I don't know whether this will look as invisible.

Any suggestions would be welcome by this newbie.

If you're on a budget, why are you going to Encel??

Becuase this is one of the few places that I know of and that I can test the hardware. Especially the in wall speakers.

Do you have any suggestions?

yep, carlton audio visual & Total Home Entertainment in Blackburn. I've
found these two to be pretty honest and reliable.

there are plenty of others, have a look in the yellow pages if you really
don't know of any. Ring them and ask if they have in wall speakers.
