How come camera bags are so expensive in Australia?

Take the Tamrac Superlight Model 5448 bag, the recommended retail price is
US$71. Going by the current exchange rate, the bag in Australia should be
around AU$100-110 (take into account shipping costs). Nowhere can I find it
for this price...

Does anyone know any good places to buy bags from in Oz?

The only cheap product in Australia are the crops, the weather, and the
fresh air :)

Where abouts are you anyway ?
Nikon on Broadway in Sydney sells quite cheap Lowepro items.

Same reason almost everything is expensive down here - tiny market.

Even with exorbitant shipping, I found it far cheaper to buy my bag OS.
(OK, that and the fact I couldn't get that particular bag here anyway.)

I bought the Tamrac Velocity 7 from Cameraland Leederville for $99.
But I think I paid too much. It does the job for what I need. 1 lens
and a camera body with lens. Doesn't look like a camera bag either
which is good.
Anyway, off to work I go.
