That's because it's called American Dreams in the US.
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0319930/

Wondering if the intro song was changed too.
It seemed to be called Our Generation. Or maybe
that's where they got the new title from.
The title shouldn't have been changed.
Being in America, the dreams are American.

A couple of idle thoughts
I was reminded of Home and Away watching the
girls having differences and one called another a cow.
This show is slightly reminiscent of The Waltons, just
the feel of it. The Waltons was made in the 70s based in the
30s. This is made in the 00s and based in the 60s, a similar
time difference.
You can see the set up for much of the 60s to come.
A major concern, and someone mentioned it on the IMDB
web site, it's annoying if songs are played in the wrong timeline.
A song from 1966 for 1964 for example. I was mindful of this
watching the show. The tv movie, The 60s was particularly bad at this.
It seemed okay here for now. The thought, wouldn't a song from 1966
make 1964 seem more interesting, I don't like.

The older ones make their mistakes sooner. The younger ones get made
to feel they should stay at home.

The younger daughter reminded me of a young Thora Birch and looks much
cuter than the older daughter.
