Cheap subwoofers (Dick Smith, XMS)

Hi All,

Sorry to the aus.hi-fi readers for the repetition, but has anyone had
any experience with the following cheap subwoofers for use in a modest
home theatre setup:

Dick Smith (DSE) 10" subwoofer / 100w amp. $228.

Any opinions on these, or advice on better subwoofers for < $300 or so?
