Can you provide a link to a file where I can get one of these TMD movies so I can try it?

I have received an updated firmware, I will be trying it out tonight and will post any info then
Wow, that was incredibly fast, have they mentioned what issues have been addressed?
(seems to have come out almost as fast as our list got to them)
( fixed with remote key codes for sampo dvd player ev611)
Hi davidf, can you tell us what these keycodes are?
I can't find the Sampo ev611 anywhere.
Area450's screenshots of some of the other Sampo players setup menu's look vaguely familiar.

Scary movie is "chunking" meaning every 2 second picture stops for very short time, which is very annoying

No mention of what issues were addressed, I won't really know how it goes until I try it tonight. Keep in mind that this is not my regular player so some of you guys will have more specific examples to try so once i'm done and can confirm that the update is ok then some of you may wish to try it and provide your feedback. It doesn't have to stop here, if there are still issues even with the new firmware then we can have the factory look at it again.

No problem, I will test it first though. I wouldn't want to send you something that killed your player or whatever. Once I have confirmed that it is ok I'll send it to anyone that is interested.

I'm not refusing to pass anything on, I will give it to anyone that wants it just as soon as I have tested it and confirm that the file is not corrupt etc and that the procedure to update is correct. Please don't run this firmware until it's been tested, if I kill a player it doesn't matter, it's not mine. If you kill yours it might not be so easy for you to get it sorted.
You only need to wait a few hours and you can have it, assuming it is all good of course.

OK........flash worked as I was using a cdrw. Use a cdr and finalize.
BUT Bad news..........the time index mark is still there in a AVI movie

Ok no worries... Sorry I misunderstood you... I thought you didn't want to pass it on because you wanted to try it first....
I will eagerly await your testing..
Thanks mate and sorry for the misunderstanding.

rimmeroz, where did you get the fimware that you used from? There are two firmwares that were sent to us and the first one had a problem, I don't know what, the factory was not specific as to what the issue was, but they resent the file and said to ignore the first one. You don't exactly get much info when these things come from china. Once I have confirmed that the file I have installs as expected, I would like as many like as many people as possible to try it and let me know how it goes. I don't use this player all the time I only have it for testing so those of you that use it all the time will more likely pickup up things that I might miss. Theres a chance that there might still be things that will need addressing and I will arrange the factory to look at it if that is the case. There has been every attempt to try and get this looked at as quickly as possible, your support is appreciated.
Thanks

Hi All I also recieved the firmware from WBS in sydney, I did what it
said to do, everything went well, but I did not make 1 bit of difference.
In fact I think it made it worse. It now takes ages to find the CD once
it is put in. I think they sent us a bone to shut us all up.
I'm going to wait for the one from jok11n before I pass judgement.
However I have asked if I can possibly get the original firmware as well, in case it is worse.
