Australia's competition watchdog cleared the final regulatory hurdle to
Foxtel's $600 million rollout of digital pay TV with the approval yesterday
of third party access to Foxtel and Telstra's digital platform.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) approval will
allow media companies, including TV networks like Channel 7, to get access
to Foxtel's digital subscriber base independently on known pricing terms and
conditions. Foxtel is expected to start services some time next year.

"Today's decision by the ACCC gives Foxtel the regulatory certainty it needs
to proceed with the digital investment," said Foxtel's chief executive, Kim
Williams.

"Under the agreed access provisions, content providers can deal directly
with Foxtel, or they can market to our installed customer network completely
independently of Foxtel, utilising the provisions of the Digital Access
Agreement." ....

On cable TV they have a weather channel - 24 hours of weather. We had
something like that where I grew up. We called it a window.

Hey, there's no need to resort to tacky bad language here. Don't undermine
your own intelligence by posting such simple-minded comments. There has been
a lot of discussion of the digital Foxtel rollout over the past couple of
days, and a lot of duplicate information has been posted. But for the sake
of civil decency, please don't abuse each other here.

Clich'e \Cli`ch['e]"\, n. [F. clich['e], from clicher to stereotype.] A
trite or overused expression or idea. An expression that has lost
originality and force through overuse.

I'm impressed, two clichés in succession. Were you born that stupid, or do
you just practice really hard?

> Go and shove your head up a dead bear's arse.

Let me quote yourself on that one: "Even you should be able to bullshit your
way out
of your predicament better than that pathetic effort." Sums it up quite
nicely, I think. You have only managed to prove your extreme lack of
intelligence by posting such mindless drivel.

> Go and fuck yourself, gutless.

Thank you, you made me laugh. Now let's look up the definition of gutless
(I'll do it for you since I am sure you couldn't work out how to use a
dictionary): "Lacking substance; weak or insignificant." How ironic, it
seems "gutless" is the perfect definition for your spineless post.

Perhaps you should take a good, long hard look at where your life is going
at the moment - and ask yourself why it is your draw satisfaction from
bad-mouthing anonymous newsgroup users.

When you decide to retaliate, try and use your intelligence because your
last post was a pathetic effort and really only successfully proved your
extreme intellectual incompetence.
