Has anyone bought the Denon DVD-1400 recently in Australia. Opinions?
Basically, I want to get at least DVD/SACD/MP3 with RGB via SCART on a
relatively cheap box. Was thinking the Sony DVPNS915 or DVPNS930, or
Pioneer's DV-667A but here in Australia, they dont get SCART sockets (my
TV doesn't do component video).

Are you sure the DVD1400 has a scart? I just bought a DVD2200 and it doesn't have one.
Is the 2200 "higher" model than the 2900? ie is it supposed to be better?

Oops, sorry, had a look today and the 2200 does have a scart, I dont know how I didn't notice it, I've spent countless hours behind the rack this week rewiring my system.
Al - the 2200 is the model below the 2900, the video sections are the same, the 2900 uses better DACs in its audio section.
thanks

And being DACs, I suppose they would be bypassed if you used the digital audio
output...?
