Well Emma and Kenneth were married when they made it so thats the chemistry lol. They have been in a few movies together, Peter's Friends, Much Ado About Nothing. Eric this is the movie where I got my son's name from. Roman.
LMAO well i guess they have worked even closer that i first thought ;) .Now if i would to have guessed where you got roman from i would have said days of our lives :) ,it is a cool name though, way better than dave or barry.

Watched Dr. No last night, the original EON Bond Production.
For 1962 the film holds up quite well, and certainly doesn't feel 42 years old.

Just finished the r1 of Jacob's Ladder. Found it's sense of the schizophrenic uncertainty of perception and memory to be most enthralling: the mind as redefining reality through hallucinatory experience. Interesting to see films that juggle different time lines or realities and then dissolve the boundaries between them. Arguably its the odd film out from director Adrian Lyne who seems to favour films more about sexual morality, though maybe its the idea of the gradual erosion of certainty that appeals to him. Makes me now want to see Alan Parker's film of Angel Heart again for some reason. Hmm.

I love the juxtaposition of the previous two posts - shows the massive gap in content there can be between two quality films. :)

I just watched "Hero" again and its gets better with each viewing. This has to be the most stunning movie (visually) that I have ever scene. It really is breathtakingly beautiful in parts. Anyone who hasn't seen it WATCH IT!

I'm going to order the R2 version this weekend..... Only 5.1 and not 6.1 - but I don't think that will bother me too much

Also just watching Pearl Jam Touring Band 2000 in the early hours of the morning. Great collection of Pearl Jam songs from various concerts in the US in 2000

Just finished watching The Outlaw Josey Wales . Still a brilliant western, and I never realised it was also directed by Clint Eastwood

The last 2 movies I saw:
Series 7 - very different, about a Reality show where contenders kill each other. It is basically a spoof on reality shows. It was quite good, but took a while to understand it. Very clever the way they did it all. Maybe there will be a Series 8!
Rollerball (the version with Chris Klein) - one of the worst movies I have seen. Hard to hear/understand a lot of the dialogue, no real explanation of the 'game', and camera work that is terrible. Other than that, it had sh*t actors (except Jean Reno - biut I bet he's embarressed!)and a weak plot. I guess this is one movie where the critics got it right!
