I hadn't watched Armageddon in a long time so I decided to watch it again, I love that movie :)
Yeah I love that movie too. Just think of it as one huge comedy, then it works.
I love the bit where they allude to "The Right Stuff" (1983).
Movie Pitch: Armageddon is a movie where Total Morons save the Earth from Total Destruction.

I watched The Descent (UK caving/horror monster movie). It's very good. Something of a "genre flick", as it uses many clichés of the horror movie genre. But I've never seen a caving movie though, so I like this one a lot.

Yeah that pretty much covers it :D but I still love the movie and cry every time I watch it. :)
I watched Mind Hunters it's a really good movie kept me on the edge of my seat, one of those movies with twists and turns in it. I'll watch it again but watching it on my own next time I probably won't be looking over my shoulder like I did last night. :D

I watched Red Eye a 2005 thriller set on a plane, overall I thought the movie was very good. But I was left slightly confused over the connection between the characters, can anyone help me understand better?
Also the movie was nice and short, 1hr 10mins, and the two lead characters were perfectly cast (rachel mcadams and that guy).

I bought Bad Santa last week at JB Hi-Fi for like $12, and finally got around to watching it tonight. I loved it, hilarious stuff. I'm glad I bought it, now I can watch it over and over. :p

Good night, Santa. Good night, Mrs. Santa's sister.
So many great quotes from that film, and Lauren Graham is so fine. I even stoop to watching gilmore girls every now and then (sound off of course :p).

I have just watched Memoirs of a Geisha. Well, what can I say...having not read the book (yet), I found it incredibly hard to watch. If only the leads were Japanese and they were speaking their native language (it would have been so muchmore beautiful).
Having said that, the cinematography is exquisite, the love story seems a little overly simplistic (presumably due to time constraints), and Zhang Ziyi is beautiful. It wasn't a bad 2.5 hours spent, but it could have been so much more.
Having said that, and moving onto a different movie, has anybody read the Kevin Smith script that was abandoned for Superman Lives!? Do a google search for it is you are interested because I thought that it was absolutely brilliant and if it had been made, surely would have gone down as one of the best comic book adaptations ever. Alas it will never be, but have a read and lemme know your thoughts.

I saw Narnia yesterday and really enjoyed it. I thought it ended a bit too quickly but overall it was very good and Tilda Swinton was awesome as the white witch!

Yeah, pretty sure membership is required.
It's ok, your not missing a great deal. It's just 1 member bagging how bad Bad Santa is, then 9 pages with other members bagging him.
He hates bad santa, but thinks White Chicks and Naked gun are top films. :rolling:

I saw it last week, and maybe I'd been spoilt of late because I half expected a LOTR epic, so I was a little disapointed (which I soon got over).
That said, it stuck to the book perfectly without mixing in any of the other chapters of the series, which leads me to believe with the boxoffice takings it's shown so far, we can expect to see a couple more in the future. :)
I'd give it a 4/5.

Bad Santa recently started its run on Foxtel and I've tried watching it twice, but it's got to be the biggest load of shit that I've seen in ages and I won't bother trying to see the rest.
One thing that did make me laugh was that my 6 year old came and stood at the door and saw about 2 minutes of it before I knew that she was there. I changed the channel and said that it's not a Santa movie for kids, or even adults with half a brain and she said "Dad, this movie should have those beeps for when people say naughty words...... But if they did that, you wouldn't hear much talking." :D

I've just watched La Marche De L'empereur. It's an excellent film/story/movie.
