I'm assuming that Speedman won't be in the third film, and possibly not even Beckinsale, given it is a prequel. I'm not sure how far back the story is going to go, but Beckinsale's character doesn't seem to be all that old (for a vampire).
I suppose Speedman could play a distant relative of his original character though.
ozeagle, so the 2nd film would be a sequal, whilst the 3rd a prequal to the 1st?

Yes, that's how it will work. Although the second film will also have a 15 minute segment set before the first film to set up the story:
The plan is to flash back to the battle Selene reads about in the tome, to set up our new villain.
The script for the second one is virtually finished as I understand it. Funny, I just can't imagine that giant black lycan sitting down at a computer typing away... :D

Monday night I taped Mad City with John Travolta and Dustin Hoffmin so I watched it yesturday, OMG talk about crying through a movie. I think it's a great movie * watching in between the tears * but I wouldn't buy it because I wouldn't watch it very often, but I thought it was a good movie. :)

Hey Warmo, you had better be careful with the "kate who" business around Houndsy ;) She has this habbit of locking people in rooms who are mean to her "goddess" and putting kate bush's greatest hits on loop..... wuthering heights over and over and over
ahhhh.....

I watched Welcome to collingwood last night,a crime/caper movie.Despite the fact that it has a great cast including Bill macy, sam rockwell and george clooney i found it to be dull, lifless and uninspiring. It did have a couple of funny lines and situations but for the most part it is a lesson in tedium and underachievment. You are most likley better off watching anything else you have in your collection from the genre than this.

Watched Pulp Fiction. Still a classic, and probably Tarantino's best film
