I would have to agree with that though.

Did you like the ending? :rolling:
The ending was just a tad too obvious, the way they left it ripe for a sequel.

I would say the sequel will definitely happen too. The film took over $50 million at the box-office in the US alone, well over double its $US23 million budget.

And speaking of box-office success, I noticed on IMDB that the final Lord Of The Rings movie has now moved into second place on the all-time records. It's still only half what Titanic amassed, but a remarkable achievement nevertheless!

i wouldn't call it shit personally, i prefer to call it an underacheiver.
Yeah - underachiever is not a bad description.

But I reckon they did pretty well considering the budget...

...and I am sure a not-unsubstantial portion of that budget went to Ms. Beckinsale!

The way he was killed spoled the movie i thought, and from time to time it got a bit boring. A bit of the 'same old stroy' happening here and there...

P.S. Not an experinced movie reviewer, therefore i struggle to come up with the words to compliment my opinions...

Well that will do for a start warmo,i aggree that plenty of the support cast where boring and it had a "Just going through the motions" feel about it.With such fantastic production values the movie certainly could have been so much better with more compelling characters.Maybe they could bring back the dude that got killed,it's been done before in hollywood ;)

Another movie watched today,The magdalene sisters .A shocking and brutal film about young women in Ireland being forced into servitude in catholic labor camps run by nuns for being "morally fallen".There isn't much charity amongst these nuns as they ritually abuse there hapless victims who can find themselves there for no more reason than being a victim of rape or otherwise bringing disgrace on there own family's.This is powerful drama that isn't easy to watch and may be upsetting to sensitive viewers to sit through.
Brilliant performances all round, many in there first feature film.A must watch for all fans of great drama.

And following on this thread, the actor who played Viktor has allegedly been cast to play Slartibartfast in the upcoming Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy Movie!

I thought you were joking until I checked the IMDB website.

Is there any chance at all that this could be be a decent movie?
I can't see how it could be compressed into 100-120 mins, and who's this guy directing, his only credit on IMDB is something to do with "da ali g show".
Douglas Adams and ali g don't strike me as having too much in common.
It all sounds like a potentially disastrous project.

Maybe it's time to change those immortal words to - DO PANIC!

Yes - it is hard to see this working, but I haven't given up hope!

The choice of actor to play Arthur Dent should work (I'm too lazy to re-check IMDB for his name, but he plays Tim in "The Office").

Yeah, basically reprising his role from The Office as a normal, somewhat depressed guy surrounded by a bunch of nuts. :)

Hellboy - preview makes it look pretty cool (love Selma Blair, which doesn't hurt).
Garfield!!!! I reckon that Bill Murray is a GREAT pick for Garfield's voice :-)
