What needs to be fixed first with the new format?

With the new version of software, we have a new layout and format. There is no need to say "we want the old format back", it is not possible!:)

There are a lot of things I need to go through, tweak, fine tune in the next a few days. You can have your say in this thread of what needs to be fixed first. No guarantee, but at least I know what to look for first.

It's a fairly dramatic change :)

I quite like it - my first question would be is it possible to have the page "autofit" as it used to? I run my res at 1200, and it feels like a lot of wasted space with the grey bars at the side.

I also run at high res so the auto fit (full page) layout would be better. Also if the white background (behind the blue and when replying) could be changed to the BG Grey and the current main page Grey to a darker grey, i always liked how EYO were darker that the other forums, besides that all else is cool so far :)

Just noticed a slight formatting issue. A minor point maybe and I don't know if it should get "first" priority, but it's worth mentioning.
In a reply I mentioned a film title in italics and then wrote a few lines before intending to mention another title, but when I entered this second title in italics, the few lines between each title were erased, leaving only the two italicized titles back to back.
Am I doing something inadvertently wrong?

When you select text and press a button (to apply the formatting to the text) it starts screwing around... try it for yourself, too hard to explain.

Without selecting (highlighting) any text. Push one of the format button, you will see the difference between two modes.

I can't seem to delete private messages from the viewing page - checking the checkbox and hitting the "Delete" button simply brings up the message:

Invalid Private Message specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the webmaster

Deleting private messages from the Inbox works fine, it's only a problem when deleting from the page where the private message is displayed

I notice you've fixed the problem with the column sizing (that used to minimise the width of the Last Post column and make the rows very high) on the main page. But the sub-forums pages still have the problem (ie http://forums.eyo.com.au/forumdisplay.php?f=9 )

Not urgent, or a big deal, but something to add to the list :)

Do a shift-Reload (Netscape) or Ctrl-Refresh (IE) should bring them back.
