Reciever and speakers for HT- $3K budget - suggestions?

As the title implies. I've got $3000 to spend on a Receiver and 5.1
speakers for Home Theatre.

I'm in Melbourne.

The room for HT is 5M by 5M.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Harmon Kardon HK2550 receiver and Whatmough 5.1 (satellite/sub) speaker package.
