What have you just spotted in the TV guide, late at night, that a whole bunch of people may have missed? Post it here, let everybody know what great show/special/movie has been buried in no man's land (or scheduled at the last minute).
I just spotted that there's a Matchbox 20 Live Concert special on Ch10 in a few minutes here (23:40) - so if you're a fan like me, get the video ready.

But the point of the thread is to spot things and let people know - not make them search every 2am slot for themselves :)

Just noticed that SBS is running "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" at 12:10am on Thursday night/Friday morning. If you're up for some weirdness from 1964, it's a fun movie (especially when watched with drunken post-Christmas friends who can laugh with you).

LOL :D I'll be setting the VCR for that one. It sounds like a good laugh.
ESPN are showing all of Beg, Borrow & Deal 2 today.
I've only seen a few episodes, but it looks good.
Teams of people have nothing but their driving license and basic clothing as they a have to Beg, Borrow & Deal their way around the USA as they do a bunch of sport related challenges. They also have to vote off a member of their team at the end of each episode.
I wasn't that keen when I was told about it, but I quite enjoyed it once I watched an episode.

John Doe
12:20am on Ch.9 tonight- only lasted 13 episodes in the US before it was axed- the pilot ep which was on a couple of weeks back was highly entertaining- if you are looking for something on the idiot box later tonight- then give John Doe a go!

Watched John Doe tonight, was quite an interesting show. Shame it didn't last.
People may not have noticed that Mr Accident is being screened at 9:30 Saturday night on Channel 9. So if you're near a TV, just be careful, ok? And if you're watching Smallville, for god's sake turn it off as soon as the credits hit, just in case.
On the plus side, Ch7 is screening the wonderful "A Life Less Ordinary" at 10:45 with Ewan and Cameron. "I'm doing my best here... under very difficult circumstances" :D

Don't know if this thread is for Foxtel also, but this may be of interest to people into movie soundtracks...
Foxtel's Music Max is apparently in the middle of a music and movies weekend. Music video clips of songs that were featured in films and are found on soundtrack albums, if the little I saw from today was any guide. Was today (Sat) afternoon but according to the guide, it will also be on Sunday 11th from around 12 noon. At 2pm there is a cult music movie (Spinal Tap on Sunday I think) and then more music videos from film soundtracks til 5 or so.

Yeah. Didn't see it this arvo but I have the r1 two-disc special edition DVD of The Doors still to watch. Commentary and 43 minutes of deleted scenes sounds most promising.

It is probably a more enjoyable film if you are a huge Doors fan.

They seemed to be having a Duran Duran special when I was watching, so Metallica S&M had to be put in the DVD player to remove all Duran Duran music from brain
