View Full Version : Teac 76 cm widescreen tv..opinions??
Looking at the Teac 76 cm widescreen tv for wifes folks. Rounded tube 50 Hz
model. Anyone got any opinions on this tv, pros & cons, service etc. Have
noticed it comes with 3 year warranty plus has a European tube installed.
Opinions appreciated.
Cheers,

I looked at these about 12 months ago and based on picture quality and
suggestions here (and DVD Plaza forums), I ended up purchasing a 76cm
Thomson from Big W for $994 instead.
I'm very happy with my decision. I've since seen Big W selling the RCA
(which is owned by Thomson) for quite a bit less than what I paid.

The picture quality on the 76cm Teac isn't that good. Very plain in fact. As
stated in the other reply you can find better 76cm models around if you look
hard enough which will provide you a much richer picture.

Can you guys provide brands and prices of alternatives? The teac was
attractive because of its price point of under $1,000. If others have
suggestions, can you provide placed that I could look at these tv's in Melb?
Once again thanks for the replies.

I thought Paul did just that? Thomson or RCA - same manufacturer - should
be under $1k. I'm sure they can be found in Melb, but last time I tried, it
was hard to find in Perth.

Yeah, I did.
From memory, the price in the post Christmas sale was $864. I think their
normal price is $999.

My apologies to the above posters and the ng. I would have read the thread
in a forum not the aus.dvd ng.
