Hi,
I have been looking at DVD Players for around $250, and have narrowed my research down to the basic models from Pioneer (DV466), Yamaha (S540) and Sony.
In this regards, I was wondering if people on this forum had any suggestions / experiences?
regards,
Ritesh
PS: I have already decided to get a Digitrex-2700 for the second bedroom; this player would for the main room

I have used the Pioneer and found it to be excellent picture quality and
error handling. It was also the highest rater in the recent choice magazine
test.
My experience with Sonys is that they are not so good at handing minor
scratches. The Sony in the Choice test (SONY DVP-NS530) obviously had
similar issues as they say "Not so good in playing our faulty DVD". I used
to own a Sony 3xx which was also very annoying as it kept skipping or
freezing on rented dvds with minor scratches on them.
Dont know about Yamaha.
Regards,
Bill.
