I am looking to buy a widescreen but would like PIP at the cheapest price any ideas?

I would also like to get a widescreen TV with PIP, but also need at
least 4 AV inputs (some preferably with RGB and/or component over
SCART, since I have 3 devices that output this) and would prefer an
integrated digital tuner, which narrows the field greatly. I think I
will wait until there is more choice.

I don't know if this is the cheapest but the Loewe Planus is $1995 with
Strong 5300 STB and has dual tuner PIP in the TV.
Better run to grab one though because most outlets are sold out and are not
receiving more stock.

Regarding picture in picture. Do they allow separate video inputs to be
routed to seperate pictures on the one screen?

I think u can get cables that acts like an adapter to scart.
Around $20 from memory.

Yes, that's generally how they work. The main picture or smaller inset
picture (on the same screen) can be any of the AV inputs or inbuilt
tuner.
