View Full Version : X1 video connections
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had tried this video connection set up to their
X1.
Fox box - Scart to RGB + (L+R)
with
(L+R) to Amp
and
RGB to RGB to VESA adaptor
and then
VESA adaptor to VGA cable to VGA input on the X1
???
Was just wondering if this worked before I invest in a few cables.
Cheers
matt

You need to think about your H and V sync.

Thought about it, but the main problem would appear to be the output of the
set top box. The VGA input will only take a 480p, 720p or 1080i signal, and
the Fox Box outputs 576i. I'm assuming this is the equivalent of 480i for
NTSC.
I may have to go through a component cable to the 7 pin S video connection
instead and invest in a progressive scan DVD player so I can use the VGA
input.

Don t you sometimes think that maybe you are chasing falling stars. A lot of
dicking around for a pissy amount of image improvement. At the end of the
day if someone comments on how great the picture then what does that say
about how shithouse the movie is. .

Oh you really are a little ray of sunshine aren't you.
Why don't you just do what your mommy used to tell you. "If you have nothing
interesting to say then say nothing at all"
