Being the nice Dad that I am, I stopped at McDonalds after work to get my 4 year old surprise Happy Meal (getting the cool 3D comic and 3D glasses that came with it for myself wasn't part of the plan, I promise;)).
Anyway, I walked in on a full blown bitching session by a customer on always having to pick out the pickles from the burgers. This was an absolute pisser and really was a good laugh.
Anyway, I was just talking about it and thought that this is a good reason for a poll that will have no influence on our lives, but might be interesting to see how the votes go. :D :p
So, without further delay..........

Look, if you're going to *claim* there's no further delay, make sure you put the poll up. Because otherwise there's a delay. :p

I don't mind pickles like in spread form, but sliced, I dont like them.
But the burgers come with pickles and I pick them off.. For the person having a whinge, they should take them off or go elsewhere, cos that is the burger so, fuck'em...
I've been eating that fancy new chickeny burger and man is it nice.

My connection stalled half way through submitting the thread. Looks like it worked when I tried submitting again though. :dD

The workers offered to make fresh ones without the pickles, but the sook demanded that they should have this option all the time.
It was bloody funny when the customer said something about the burgers being plastic anyway and the young worker had a quick comeback and asked why they were buying them then and why the customer wqs making such a big deal if they didn't like the plastic burgers anyway? :D

I'm glad the worker said that back, cos it is true. Happens in most jobs - people complain about the product or price yet they never exercise their right to go elsewhere

you'd think the idiot complaining would realise saying " I'll have the quarterpounder with no pickle option " is the same as saying " I'll have a quarterpounder with no pickles please "
what a toss-pot

Back in Yr 12 a McDonalds opened just across the street - a few of us always used to go over there and ask for burgers with no pickles. But it wasn't because we minded removing the pickle, it was mainly so that we were guaranteed a fresh burger straight off the grill.
yep - and then the annoying little customers all insist that the pickleless burger appear instantly... - basically my attitude is that if the burger has to be adjusted in anyway - get something else...

Pickles used to be fun when I was younger, you'd take 'em out and throw them on the windows or walls of the restuarant, they would stick too! :dD
These days I avoid McDoonalds as the food is CRAP!!
I'm sure everyone has their favourite story about what is really in the food... a funny one is the cheese slices, they have to call the product Cheese Spread in the super market as it cannot be called cheese slices... :rolling:

when I was young I used to take them out. After a while, I decided to leave them in the burgers and realised I can't really taste the difference.

dont know if this is one of those old wives tale thingys,....
but i thought the reason they put the pickle in the burger is because if they didnt it would be classed as confectionary.......hhhmmmmmm :rolling:

don`t go to macers often but when l get the voucher coupons do go to hungry jacks and get 2 whoppers for $3:45 or around that, but always ask for the whoppers without no pickles there was a time a few years ago when they still put the pickles in and l`d take `em back and tell `em l didn`t want pickles, and the manager would get them to get me another couple of burgers and throw in a chips so l didn`t mind..... :)

l remember when my son was about 2 years old and l got him his first cheese burger happy meal and they say just because you don`t like something doesn`t mean your child wont like it so l left the pickles on he got 1/2 way through the burger and stopped eating it, l knew he had got to the pickle then... :dD and he didn`t eat another burger for about 8 months :)
and he still doesn`t like them... :)

Don't eat the Mcdonald burgers - but their other items are pretty good I guess, mostly.
I don't eat Mc Donalds at all after being sick a couple of times after eating it, my daughters b/friend used to work there and I wouldn't have it for free even YUK!!!!!!!!! . But I have had Hungry Jacks just the kids meal because it dosn't agree with me ( don't eat much junk food as it is ) but I always ask for no pickles they are gross, I'd be happy if they got rid of the yukky things all together. :rolling:

but then if enough people complain then things will change and l hate companies that dictate what we should or shouldn`t have it`s the comsumers choice....but seeing that macers have always done things there way thats why they were running at a lose last financal year in america and ( l think ) about 100 stores in america closed down but having said that, they have started listening to people and brought in salads and they have the cafes now :) and there trying different type of foods :)
