That one I believe, but with an E4SUB.1
Any opinions on this? its very cheap. I'm looking for a HT setup with my
projector, room isn't huge, about 6m long by 4m wide....
Looking at the Marantz 5400 amp as well... which can be had for around
$1000... add cables, would make this system around 2k which was my budget.
Only thing is I listened to some B&W stuff last week and it was very nice...
DM602 for fronts, DM601 for rears, LCR60 for Centre, ASW600 for SUB...
sounded very nice, but its worth over 4k retail without an amp... I do have
the money, but not sure if this is worth it...
Any opinions/suggestions?
Thanks
Well for a sub I'd aim for something that would go flat to 25 or 20Hz. Hsu
research makes some great subs that sell for around $1000 that will do the
job. I'm not sure if Australian companies like Whatmough, Krix or Sonique
have something comparable for the price but it would be worth checking out.
One thing I like about the Hsu subs is that the response of the sub is
pretty flat across its operating frequency.

Another option is to look at DIY kits from www.theloudspeakerkit.com which
have kits with very good drivers and amps.
Its really is worth getting a decent subwoofer.
