Video Ezy / EzyDVD are giving away one of those Gladiator Box Sets (that contain the Widescreen VHS, film cell, etc) - which kind of makes you feel sorry for ppl that paid the $100 retail for it years ago - with every purchase of A Beautiful Mind, which they have listed for the 'bargain' price of $36.95.

But I ask - Is it worth it?

Sure, you're getting an item that (at one time) retailed for $99.95 with the RRP (or near) purchase of A Beautiful Mind. Considering this 'exclusive' / 'limited' box can be picked up from most K-Mart / Big W clearance baskets for $10-20, is this enough motivation to buy from EzyDVD at such a price? Normally I'd be Yeah, okay, but the fact that they are charging a premium of $6 shipping per order?! (Which is probably their cost price on the free boxset) makes me say No Way.

I mean, not that Gladiator is a bad movie or anything (not that great either), but who's going to watch a VHS? (Even if it is Widescreen). I have lots of favourite movies on VHS not on DVD, but can never bring myself to watch them. The quality is just too obscure after DVD has become the standard (in this household at least).

Either way; informing people of this promotion - I'll leave it up to you all to decide whether it's a "Bargain" or not.

Hi,Mac

It is definitely not worth it!!!!It is Ripped-off Not Bargain .
You are not only have to buy "A beautiful Mind" with supposedly bargain price of what?? $36.95?? (And also have to donate $6 to startrack Express)? NO WAY!
And also
Who wanna keep the Gladiator in VHS format where most the dvd buyers of "A Beautiful Mind" might already have Gladiator in DVD.

I too think this is a bizarre offer. I cannot believe anyone would actually go for it. Much like their other key-ring, fridge-magnet, or some-other-whats-it promotions. Just give us cheaper prices and keep your crap. Well that is MHO.
