View Full Version : **FOXTEL'S NEW DIGITAL PACKAGE**
wacko jacko 2004
13-02-2004, 04:06 PM
eFFECTIVE from March 2004
=========================
The new digital package will start from $48.95 for a basic
package.......
This includes 66 channels of which some will be time-shifted.....
This compares more favorably than the soon-to-be-obsolete analog basic
package
which cost $45.95 (cable) or $48.95 (satellite) for a choice of only
25 channels.....
Perhaps digital will speed up the process of getting more Australians
to take up pay television.............
More details of the other packages to follow next week.....
TATA ;-)

The existing "analogue" cable and digital satellite packages aren't going to
be obsolete any time soon. The changeover is supposed to take 2 1/2 years
and in that time I predict that there will be a lot of existing customers,
me for one, who won't be switching over to the new packages. In order to get
all of the channels that I'm getting now with Basic+Entertainment Plus+Movie
Essentials I'd have to go for the full platinum package at $94.95, which
will be an increase of $15.40 over what I'm now paying through Telstra.
So much for "empowering customers to choose". Fuck off Fuxtel.

Just sell one of the kids.
Some stupids pay $40K class money for slitty eyed
kids from asia etc. Even your grossly inbred runts
should raise enough to fund a foxtel subs.

This little gem shits me - new customers pay $55.95 to join up and
*existing* customers "only" have to pay $49.95 to transfer !!! Fuck off
Foxtel - what about rewarding your existing customers ya pack of arseholes.

I haven't heard anything about the optus plans for digital...are they
getting back into it ?
Only reason I'm interested in digital anything, is the improved audio
and video quality.
