Foxtel is engaging in a tactic known as "Whisper Marketing" (aka viral
marketing).

This is a relatively new marketing technique where professional bullsh!ters
get paid to participate in (among other places) chat rooms and newsgroups,
pretending to be ordinary people who are "REALLY EXCITED" about the product
they are being paid to promote.

They do the same in bars these days - actors (usually good looking women)
paid to mingle with the crowd and talk-up a certain brand of drink - playing
on the emotions and weaknesses of the young and naive.

Everybody should be aware of this =DESPICABLE= marketing tactic, and those
participating in it should be exposed and ridiculed.

PS - a Whisper Marketer might also say something like "I found this
interesting..." and refer you to a webpage URL where you can read lots of
positive feedback from other people - the website might appear as an
independent blog of happy customers' good comments - when in fact, the
entire site content is *entirely* fictional, and all part of an orchestrated
marketing campaign.

BE AWARE.

Thanks for the timely warning. Last night I picked up a gorgeous
blond in a pub in the city, we went back to my place and made love all
night, eventually falling asleep in each others arms. This morning
when we awoke, she noticed I had Foxtel and said something like "Hey,
did you know they are about to release an awesome new interactive
service?" I made me think of your post and I told her to leave
immediately.

Yes it does, It maybe these guys are affiliates of one of the big companies
and he's here to push propaganda (thats what the geese wanted anyway) like
Max Power first thought.

Apparently Foxtels whisper marketing has been working well in the southwest
of WA for a while. Our local fox guy has peddled more cards than the mob he
works for ,its common knowledge around my area. He has been whisper
marketing for about 2 years now I hear. Installs your new system and then
pulls out a bodgy one and demonstrates all the channels, asks the customer
if they want it for $200.00 before he leaves. "Foxtel whisper marketing" in
action.!
LOL.

He's about to have a pay drop when it all goes off on him I think..lol

Doogbag.

Thank you "black Mr white". Your as bad as the nissan man was and you know
it...lol
